Remember: You are no good to anyone else if you can't take care of yourself. Reserve these supplies for yourself and family. Do not refresh your CERT Medical Bag from these supplies. These should be contained in some type of a pouch.

Contents of this bag should be enough to sustain you for a 12 hour shift. It is recommended that you have at least 3 shifts worth of supplies. All food items should be non-perishable and rotated/replaced on a regular basis.

• MRE's (or equivalent) (2) [Dehydrated foods*]

• Non-electric can opener (if needed)
• Toilet paper
• If you wear glasses, keep an old extra pair with your disaster supplies
• Personal hygiene items, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, brush, soap, contact lens supplies, and feminine supplies
